The Home Health PPS Regulation for implementation January 2018 as well as what has been proposed for 2019 with the Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM) has brought about massive changes to the PPS System, but most significantly more cuts in reimbursement. In order for agencies to continue to be successful in home health Medicare world, they need to remain a step ahead of the crowd. This much needed education will keep you ahead of the crowd!

Be among the first to be current on all Medicare reimbursement related regulations that will be implemented in 2018 and beyond. This workshop will lay a concrete foundation for home health billing, as well as, financial and clinical staff leadership by giving guidance to a direct and more effective approach to the Medicare PPS regulation. In addition to the coming regulatory changes, we will discuss the current HHRG/HIPPS code methodology and clinical decision making that affects these calculations. More and more scrutiny of agency records has been taking place in the form of Targeted Probe & Educate. This session will outline the current risks and outline steps to manage that risk.

If you need a deeper understanding into the current and future home health reimbursement regulations this workshop is a must.

At the conclusion participants will be able to:

  • Calculate and evaluate the HHRG, HIPPS Code and Episode Exceptions
  • Detail Home Health 2017 and Proposed 2018 PPS Regulatory Changes
  • Outline Proposed Changes for HHGM & HHQRP Effective 2019
  • Discuss PEPPER Reports and Value Based Purchasing Results – Year 1
