Welcome! The fact that you have come to this page to apply for membership in the Minnesota HomeCare Association (MHCA) demonstrates your commitment to home care, your insight to education and advancing trends in the industry.  Comples changes are occurring more rapidly than ever before.  

The use of technology has come to the forefront as a tool in providing more efficient client care as well as better data collection techniques for home care providers. MHCA is committed to continuing to provide the leadership, training, and technical support necessary to deal with these innovations.

As you complete your MHCA membership application for the upcoming year, please know that you are investing in your future and the future of home care. MHCA has accepted the responsibility of leading home care into playing a key role in reshaping the future of long term care in Minnesota.  This can only be accomplished with your participation and support.  MHCA needs you to help create a unified front that our industry demands.

  • Advocacy opportunities with the Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Department of Human Services, State  legislators and members of Congress, Medicare Fiscal Intermediary, and the National Association for Home Care.
  • Access to various resources through the MHCA website - "Resource Center".
  • Nurse consultants on staff 
  • Team/group environment working to advance Assisted Living Home Care services throughout the State.

Agencies are providers of health care services.  Home Health Care agencies provide direct care in a variety of living environments.  *Only Home Health agencies are eligible to become Voting Members of MHCA.

Your dues rate will be calculated as a percentage of your net revenue.  Click here for rate worksheet.

Agency Employee
    

Agency employee profile:  Be aware, your AGENCY  registers and pays as a member. Your individual profile as an agency employee is needed in order for you to take advantage of the benefits of membership which includes access to our website, monthly newsletter mailing, ability to register online for workshops and conferences, and to participate in web-based training.

NOTE:  If your agency/company has not yet registered or renewed their membership, you will not be able to proceed. Should this occur please contact your administrator.
Affiliate
    

MHCA Affiliate members are organizations or non-healthcare providers displaying interest in home health care services or products, or recognized as having contributed to the promotion of home care. 

Examples include suppliers of equipment and services to home care agencies.

Affiliate Members of MHCA are not eligible for voting member status. 
Affiliate Employee
    

Affiliate employee profile:  Be aware, your Company registers and pays as a affiliate member. Your individual profile as a employee is needed in order for you to take advantage of the benefits of membership which include access to our website, monthly newsletter mailing, ability to register online for workshops and conferences, and to participate in web-based training.

Government Affiliate
    

Governmental agencies and entities.
Private Duty
     Non-Medicare certified organizations that assist clients with services such as meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and personal care that does not include "hands-on" care.  Commonly referred to as "non-medical" providers
Student
    
Currently registered students interested in home care services and the purposes of the MHCA shall be eligible to become "Student Members" of MHCA.
Staff Member
     Administrative or office staff.  Board of Director Members.  Honorary Guests

Reciprocal Company/Organization
    
A "Reciprocal Membership" may be reached in agreement with another Association or Government Agency. (Examples:  MHHA, Metropolitan Area Agency on Ageing, NAHC). See the Executive Director for Approval.
