> > This webinar will not be recorded < <

MHCA continues to provide timely, relevant, and FREE education at its Region Meetings. In December, we are welcoming Cindy Skogen, MN OASIS Education Coordinator, as a guest presenter. Join us as we learn about OASIS-D changes and other new items.

Objectives

  1. Identify the major changes from OASIS-C2 to OASIS-D
  2. Describe the new assessment items in Section J and GG
  3. Accurately code practice scenarios
  4. Identify available resources for implementing OASIS-D

Speaker

Cindy Skogen, RN, BSN

Cindy is the current MN OASIS Education Coordinator/Nurse Evaluator II, since 2010. In this position she provides OASIS education and answers clinical questions regarding the OASIS assessment for both providers and MDH employees. Cindy surveys home health agencies throughout MN on a half time basis for compliance with both state and federal rules/regulations. Prior to her OASIS role, she inspected rural health clinics, nursing homes, supervised living facilities, and ICFIID homes. Her previous nursing experience includes medical/surgical acute care, long term care nursing, psych and chemical dependency nursing, parish nursing, and working with developmentally delayed clients.

Continued Education Credits

This program has been designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the Minnesota Board of Nursing for contact hours. A facilitator from each participating region will be responsible for copying and distributing the attached materials to the participants and ensuring that each participant requesting contact hours prints their name on the roster. The Association uses these rosters to verify your attendance. Participants must remain on the webinar until its conclusion. Additionally, you will be given an evaluation for this activity. Please take a few minutes at the conclusion of the presentation to complete this form. At the conclusion of the presentation, the facilitator will be responsible for collecting the evaluations and rosters and returning them to the Minnesota HomeCare Association office. There must be an evaluation for each name on the roster. Certificates of Completion will be emailed to each agency facilitator once the evaluations and rosters have been received.
