The Minnesota HomeCare Association (MHCA) has three nurse consultants that work with MHCA to help answer member questions that span the vast array of nursing issues that home health care providers face.
The MHCA nurse consultants will answer member questions to the best of their ability, based on the information that is provided by the member to the consultant. Vickie Brand, RN, BSN, PHN
Vickie is a
Compliance Consultant for home care and hospice and specializes in
Medicare and Medicaid regulations. With 20+ years in the post-acute
industry, Vickie has a passion for helping agencies successfully manage
the complexities of regulations and reimbursement.
holds a BSN from the University of Minnesota where she worked as an
undergraduate research assistant in Aging and Dementia Studies. She has
served as the Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Living at
Home/Block Nurse Program. Vickie has been actively involved with the
Minnesota HomeCare Association since 2012 where she has been a member
and Chair of the Medicare Team.

Lores Vlaminck, Principal, MA, BSN, RN, CHPN
Lores Vlaminck is a consultant for home care, palliative care,
hospice, and assisted living providing education, training, mock
surveys, and coaching. Lores’ 40+ years of professional nursing
experience spans clinical practice in both cardiac and intensive care,
outpatient clinical services and as a founder and director of a Medicare
certified home care/hospice agency for 19 years until starting her
consulting practice 12 years ago as “Lores Consulting, LLC.”
Lores offers state and national education on palliative
and hospice care and is certified trainer of the ELNEC (End-of-Life
Nursing Education Consortium) modules, EPEC (Education on Palliative and
End-of-life-care) modules and the HPNA’s (Hospice and Palliative Care
Nurses Association) curriculum. Lores obtained her BSN and Master’s
degree in nursing education from Bethel University, St. Paul, MN

Connie Dreyer, RN
Connie is an
experienced home care nurse and administrator. Her areas of expertise
include systems management, leadership, quality improvement, funding and
regulatory compliance. She is also a part-time surveyor of the
Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and serves on the
faculty of Bethel University.
