Description

The home-based care workforce is contracting week over week in 2026 — and the implications are real.

New national data shows caregiver growth has turned negative, shifting from +4% in early January to as much as –2% by late-February.

For agencies, this means:

  • Harder-to-staff cases
  • Rising recruiting costs
  • Increased overtime and burnout
  • Slower census growth

In this data-driven session, we’ll break down:

  • What the 2026 workforce contraction means for home care.
  • Why traditional recruiting models are failing in tighter labor markets.
  • Benchmarks for time-to-fill and cost-per-hire in 2026.
  • How AI-powered recruiting and RPO models are bending the curve.
  • A practical framework to stabilize your hiring pipeline before shortages impact revenue.

Whether you're planning for growth or protecting margins, this webinar will give you the data and strategy to stay ahead of workforce volatility.

Faculty

Lisa Martin-Garlic, VP of CareCommunity

Lisa’s been a recruiter for 20+ years and is also a tech entrepreneur—she co-founded the dog training app GoodPup, which was later acquired by Rover. When she’s not working, she spends her time running a dog shelter in Central New York.

Ryan Gedeon, Market Manager

Ryan Gedeon is an Account Executive at CareConnect, previously serving as a Regional Market Manager at IntelyCare, where I focused on building strong partnerships and supporting healthcare organizations. I enjoy connecting with people and helping simplify their day-to-day responsibilities so they can succeed individually while driving better outcomes for their teams and organizations. Outside of work, I’m an avid music lover who’s always exploring new artists and live shows.
