Legislative Initiatives

Led by an experienced, well-known lobbyist, MHCA successfully initiated legislation in the areas of wage and payment rates, regulatory issues and state implementation of federal mandates. Members have access to the 2025 legislative summary.

Collaboration

Working collaboratively with national organizations, progress was made toward non-physician provider authorization, as well as fixes to Medicare documentation.

Maintain Relationships

MHCA maintains solid relationships with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) and various health plans. This opens doors for agency-specific questions and provides a resource for addressing various regulatory challenges.
