Kris Dudziak and Kathy Messerli Named As Designated Alternates on the States eHealth Advisory CommitteeIn the continuing effort by our leaders and members to turn up the volume on home care in Minnesota, MHCA is pleased to announce that long-time MHCA member Kris Dudziak, Integrated Home Care and MHCA Executive Director Kathy Messerli, have been appointed to represent the home care profession on Minnesota's eHealth Advisory Committee beginning in September 2015. The Minnesota e-Health Advisory Committee was established in 2004 under Minnesota Statute. Members and Designated Alternates to this statewide advisory committee with 25 representatives are made up of interested and affected stakeholders in health information technology (HIT) who are appointed by the Commissioner of Health. The Advisory Committee will provide recommendations to the Commissioner of Health on achieving the vision of the e-Health Initiative, which is to accelerate the adoption and use of health information technology in order to improve health care quality, increase patient safety, reduce health care costs and improve public health. Kris will serve on the committee for a two year term ending June 2017, Kathy will serve a one year term ending June 2016. MN e-Health Roadmaps will help to ensure that health information is accessible when and where it is needed to improve and protect people’s health and well-being. The Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota e-Health Initiative have partnered with Stratis Health to develop the roadmaps. The project began in January 2015 and end in the spring of 2016.
