This interactive program will focus on “training the trainer” for agencies to complete required skills evaluations for their unlicensed personnel. The applicable regulations will be reviewed. Three different stations will be set up for participants to experience evaluation of the criteria, including appropriate objectives and teaching points for each skill task. Attendees will spend 30 minutes at each station. There will be examples of test questions at each station.
Station 1: Temp, mouth care, hearing aids, pulse, respiration
Station 2: Mobility, range of motion
Station 3: Bathing, skin care, shampoo in bed, shaving, dressing
This is also an opportunity to share how to educate and encourage experienced unlicensed personnel to perform to expectations.
