Membership Benefit Highlight: Communications
In the age of social networks, smartphones, and 24-hour news cycles, information is everywhere. This is great, if you need answers and you need them fast, but it also has a downside: information is everywhere. The flood of information that comes from regualtory bodies like CMS, NGS, MDH, DHS, and others can be very overwhelming. That's why it's our job to make things easier for you by compiling the information we receive into one, easy-to-read email.
Each Friday, our Communications Manager sifts through all of the emails that have come over the course of the week from NAHC, CMS, NGS and so on. These emails cover a board range of topics, but only information that is relevant to home care makes it into our Friday alert. Need dates and times for DHS Billing Labs? Look for them in the alert. Looking for the latest news on the Face-to-Face rule? It will be in the alert. Want to know what's going on at MHCA? That will be in the alert too, under Member News. Last but not least, our alert contains information on our upcoming educational events, as well as links to all of our events. Reading the alert that we send out every Friday is the best way to stay informed and save time.
In addition to our Friday alerts, we send out legislative updates during the legislative sessions. As soon as news breaks at the State Capitol, we turn that information around and send it straight to your inbox. Knowing that we will send relevant information from the legislature will alleviate the confusion and anxiety of trying to figure it out on your own. Moreover, we also help YOU communicate, by drafting template letters that you can send to your local representative. We write the letter, and you add your signature and any additional comments you'd like to add; we keep you informed so that you can get involved.
On Wednesdays, we send out our MHCA Education Highlight, which spotlights upcoming educational programs. Make sure you don't miss anything!
Lastly, our greatest vehicle for communication is our website, and it's getting a new look! We are in the process of completely redesigning our site so that it will be more user-friendly, have a look that's on trend, and inform you at a glance of everything that we do for our members. Our new site will go live some time this summer.
If you are a member and you're missing out on our alerts, please contact info@mnhomecare.org. If you're not a member and would like to take advantage of this benefit and many others, please visit www.mnhomecare.org/join.
