Faculty
Jaime Kummer, Administrator, River Valley Home Care
Jaime started working at River Valley Home Care in the Fall of 2017. As Administrator, her job duties include Agency Planning, Development and Maintenance. She spent the first 17 years of her career in the banking industry. Most recently she spent time in technology as a Technical Support Specialist and later became the Technical and Operations Supervisor. Jaime graduated from Farmington High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Phoenix.
Katie Wagner, Director of Operations, HealthStar Home Health
Katie joined the HealthStar billing department in 2013. She has previously worked as HealthStar’s Billing Manager and Finance Operations Manager. Katie has extensive experience in supervising, billing, payroll, and training. She has since transitioned to the Director of Operations, overseeing our Medicare certified offices. She provides leadership and coaching to those offices while keeping our mission and vision on the forefront.
Marnie Progreba, Patient Accounts, Lakewood Health System Home Care & Hospice
Marnie works for Lakewood Health System, where the Home Care/Hospice department is a hospital-based agency. She was hired in this position almost fifteen and a half years ago. The person she was hired to replace was retiring and gave her notice long in advance. This was very fortunate for Marnie, because she had five months of training with her. In the last fifteen years this job has evolved and she has seen many changes. Marnie keeps on learning and is grateful for all that she learns from fellow billers that are part of the MN Home Care Association.
Tracy Salin, Billing Specialist, Fairview Home Care and Hospice
Tracy has been working with Fairview Home Care and Hospice in Hibbing, MN since May 2010 as a Billing Specialist. She conducts home care and hospice billing, remittance posting, eligibility checks and maintenance, as well as authorizations and behind-the-scenes maintenance of payors and financial aspects of our EMR. She also has experience with hospital inpatient, outpatient, and nursing home billing and a BSBM in Business Management.
Lana Barskiy, President & CEO, Metropolitan Community Services
Lana is the President & CEO of Metropolitan Community Services, MCS is celebrating their 10-year anniversary this year. Lana has worked in health care for 32 years and her background is in nursing in surgery and oncology.
Rita Bryan, Billing Manager, Accra Care
Rita has been working for 1 year as the Billing Manager at Accra. Rita has been a biller since 1991. She conducts home care and hospice billing, remittance posting, eligibility checks and maintenance, as well as authorizations and behind-the-scenes maintenance of payors and financial aspects of their EMR.
