DESCRIPTION
The Minnesota Legislature was busy last session. There are several new employment laws that will impact employers in the state ranging from paid leave to restrictions on certain employment agreements. This must-attend session will not only provide an overview of these new laws, but practical guidance to be in compliance.

FACULTY
Lauren C. Janochoski, Attorney, Felhaber Larson
Lauren’s practice primarily focuses on employment litigation, discrimination litigation, and construction litigation. Lauren also has experience in general business advice and counsel, products liability litigation as well as debt collection litigation. Prior to embarking into practice, Lauren had the privilege to serve as a law clerk for Judge Jamie Cork in the First Judicial District, Dakota County, Minnesota, where Lauren managed large caseloads, court and jury trials, and drafted judicial opinions involving a wide variety of multifaceted areas of law. Her tenure as a law clerk gave Lauren valuable insight into the decision-making processes behind the bench—experience which she brings into every case she handles.
Zachary A. Alter, Attorney, Felhaber LarsonZach Alter’s practice focuses on litigating employment, business, and real estate disputes. He also regularly advises employers of all sizes on employment law issues, with a focus on FLSA, discrimination, and non-compete issues. Since becoming a member of the bar, Zach has been committed to helping represent traditionally underserved community members. He volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Network and serves as a board member for local organizations.
