Webinar DESCRIPTION

Program Objectives:

In response to COVID, there have been new laws enacted and others just talked about.  And with so many requirements to keep track of, it’s been challenging for many healthcare employers to be certain of how the federal wage and hour laws apply to their workplace: Under the FMLA, am I required to provide time off to my employee who is sick with COVID?  What are the rules about travel and training time? Which one of my employees are exempt from overtime?  Need some answers?  Join the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage & Hour Division to clear up these and many more issues!

At the conclusion of this program, participants will:

  1. Understand how overtime law can impact your agency.
  2. Understand FMLA and its implications for your agency.
  3. Learn about the initiative launched by the DOL to protect professional caregivers’ wages, rights and how your agency can ensure compliance.
