Registration Deadline: February 15, 2026 - **Registration fees are based on ONE live phone/webinar connection; multiple site participation for the live offerings for your agency will require a separate registration fee for each live connection. Registrations should not be shared between agencies—if an agency location holds its own state license (not a branch office), a separate registration is required.

 

Description

OASIS accuracy is critical to all aspects of home health agency success, and home care clinicians are more accurate when they have a clear understanding of the importance of the role of OASIS in home health care. This series provides a concise training for field clinicians and QA reviewers on key OASIS items used for payment under PDGM, public reporting on Care Compare for the Quality of Patient Care Star rating, and for the Total Performance Score in Home Health Value-Based Purchasing.  

If you are new to the industry or working with OASIS, learn the ins and outs of OASIS guidelines and the importance of accurate data collection. Or if you have taken OASIS classes in the past come learn the new updates coming for OASIS E-2 and freshen up on your OASIS knowledge.

Program Objectives

At the completion of this workshop, the participant will be able to:

  1. Outline the history of OASIS and how it affects agency payment.
  2. Explain that each OASIS question matters.
  3. Apply OASIS guidelines.
  4. Discuss the importance of proper and detailed documentation.

FACULTY

Celeste Miller, RN, BS, HCS-D, HCS-O, Director of Consulting, Care at Home Consultants

Celeste is an innovative leader whose goal is to improve the industry of home health and hospice through education and involvement. Due to this passion, she opened her own consulting business to help agencies across the nation learn and progress towards improved compliance. She offers education and training on mostly any subject within the home health and hospice industry. Celeste is a Decision Health Board Member- donating her time to assist in creating and revising test questions for the OASIS and coding certification tests, participating in work groups to improve education, and advocating for the industry. She was awarded the Decision Health OASIS Consultant of the Year in 2023. Celeste has over 20 years of home health and hospice experience within multiple roles from field clinician, admission nurse, case manager, director of nursing, administration, corporate leader, and quality. Leaders working directly with Celeste describe her as a top expert in her field and a great trainer. Agencies who have worked with her say she is able to present things in a way that is easy for others to understand, she's extremely positive, very knowledgeable, and helpful.

 

Recording

Registered agencies will be sent a recording link following each presentation. Recordings will be available through February 2027 and may be used within your agency as needed (for new hires, as a refresher course, etc.).

 

CONFIRMATION

A confirmation will be emailed to you by February 16. This confirmation will include the presentation handouts, CE documents, and information on accessing the webinar. 

 

EDUCATION PAYMENT POLICY

Non-Members – Payment in full is required upon registration.

Members – Outstanding invoices 30 days after an event date will incur a $25 late fee per registration.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations from non-members must be in writing via email and received by MHCA on or before Tuesday, February 11, 2026 to receive a refund less a $25 cancellation fee (per registration). No refunds for cancellations made after the cancellation deadline or for no-shows.  

 

HANDOUTS

Handouts and related materials will be sent to you shortly before the program to the email address you provide. Please feel free to provide an additional email address as a backup.
