About Us

Minnesota Home Care Association (MHCA) is a non-profit trade association representing home care agencies from across the state. MHCA members include Basic license, Comprehensive license, hospice agencies, Medicare-certified, and PCA providers. The top reason people attend our conference is the valuable education that can help them stay ahead in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. We are looking for speakers focused on enhancing caregiving techniques, improving agency operations, and fostering resilience in both caregivers and clients. Attendees will be looking for actionable insights that can be implemented immediately to improve their agency's performance.

Audience

Each year, over 150 of our members come together from across the state for the MHCA Annual Meeting; a 3-day conference packed with education sessions, an expo, and sponsored social events.

This conference is designed to equip all attendees (Medicare, Comprehensive/Basic, Home Care Nursing, PCA, CFSS, 245D, and Palliative Care) for compliance and success by offering education tracks that appeal to multiple audiences.

We invite proposals that

  • Present evidence-based or research supported information.

Extra consideration will be given to:

  • Advanced-level programs, which should be reflected in the learning objectives.

Presenters are not permitted to sell or promote any specific product or service. The presentation must maintain a neutral position and cannot suggest one product or service above another. Attendees (and our education committee) expect a presentation that is timely, relevant, and useful to participants but does not feel like a sales pitch.

Please be advised that while WiFi at the venue is free, it is not always reliable.

EVALUATION PROCESS

The Member Relations and Education Committee and Minnesota Home Care Association staff will review all proposals. We will notify you regarding our decision by May 15, 2026. All correspondence will be sent to the lead speaker electronically.

Please be advised, due to the limited number of conference sessions and high volume of proposals we receive each year, many proposals will not be accepted. Those proposals not selected for the Annual Meeting will be kept on file for one year and reviewed periodically to see if they are a fit for another MHCA education program (workshop, conference, webinar, or member meeting).

PROPOSALS MUST INCLUDE

  • Education Track Selection
  • Level of Content (Advanced, Intermediate, or Beginner)
  • Session Title
  • Speaker Names, Titles, Credentials, and Organizations (maximum of three speakers for each 60-minute session)
  • Speaker Biographies (3-4 sentences are sufficient)

Incomplete proposals will not be considered.

REGISTRATION POLICY

MHCA recognizes you as a valued partner critical to the success of our meeting. No remuneration is being offered for this; however, let us know how we can return the value for your expertise you bring to our meeting.

Should your proposal be accepted for inclusion in the 2026 program, we hope that you will have the opportunity to attend the entire conference. Each presenter is eligible for a single 25% discount on the full conference registration, regardless of how many presentations the individual is participating in.
